MALACANANG welcomed the recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey which showed that nine out of ten Filipinos are entering 2019 with hope.

In a statement on late Monday night, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said this proved that the “demolition job” against the Duterte administration “ha(s) little or no impact on the silent but much greater majority.”

“Indeed, there is much to celebrate. The country’s macroeconomic fundamentals remain solid and robust,” Panelo said.

“There is construction everywhere in the National Capital Region with the President’s Build-Build-Build program already in its implementation stage. Crime rate is down and people now feel safer,” he added.

As 2019 kicks off, the Palace official said they are confident that Filipinos will continue to “rally behind the government towards genuine change and prosperity.”

“We could only wish that skeptics finally see the good in the persistent efforts of the President for our nation, given that the results of which will not solely benefit his supporters but the entire Filipino community, including them,” Panelo said.
