MEMBERS of the House of Representatives will be getting equitable shares of public and infrastructure works budget for 2020.
CWS party-list Rep. Romeo Momo Jr., vice chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, revealed that one lawmaker could get the highest allocation for the district amounting to P5 billion.
The lowest allocation could be P800 million, Momo added.
But Momo refused to name the districts or even the lawmakers.
“Well there is no equal allocation for each district. There is an equitable allocation,” Momo told reporters in a weekly press conference of the Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc.
The proposed budget of the Department of Public Works and Highways for 2020 is P534.3 billion. The DPWH is the second department that will be getting a lion’s share of the National budget amounting to P4.1 trillion.
