Authorities invite Remulla supporters for questioning.

A LEGITIMATE recruitment of watchers for the party of ex-Cavite Governor Juanito Victor ‘Jonvic’ Remulla by his supporters was mistaken for a vote-buying activity by authorities in Zapote 5, Bacoor City.

This was revealed by Juanito Victor ‘Jonvic’ Remulla after members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) invited his supporters to the CIDG headquarters.

“We would like our watchers to be duly-accredited, well trained, competent and knowledgeable in a reporting app attached to their smart phones.

Remulla added that he is inviting members of the Commission on Elections and CIDG to their training seminar to be held at the Isla Events in Imus City and Queen Town Farm in Indang.

He stressed that his camp is willing to show to authorities the app detailing the operation of watchers and how this will be used during the May 13 elections.

Remulla revealed that only 10 percent of those they have been training were qualified to become watchers despite the numerous applicants trooping to their seminar as the app’s procedure is highly technical or ‘teki.’

Despite the mistake, Remulla said he is thankful that nobody was hurt in the incident nor did it result in violence. He is also grateful that his supporters were treated with respect and well when they were invited to the CIDG headquarters.

As of press time the CIDG had not responded to the Journal Group’s call about the incident.
