Pinay tourist missing in Bali – Department of Foreign Affairs

THE Department of Foreign Affairs has requested the assistance of authorities in Indonesia in locating a 25-year-old Filipina tourist who has been missing in Bali since Christmas.

The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta said it has filed a missing person report for Ella Balmaceda Paaño after her family in the Philippines reported losing contact with her since December 25.

Ambassador to Indonesia Leehiong Wee said Paaño, a resort worker in Coron, left for Bali on December  22 and was supposed to have returned to the Philippines on  December 28.

Paaño’s mobile phone cannot be contacted and her last Facebook post was on December 24.

On Tuesday,  Paaño’s sisters travelled to Manila from Camarines Sur to request the help of the DFA in finding her.
