In retaliation against the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani by the United States five days ago, Iran has launched missile strikes against two Iraqi military bases housing U.S. forces.

More than a dozen ballistic missiles were fired at the Al Asad and Erbil military bases, the Pentagon said Tuesday.

The Al Asad airbase houses about 1,500 U.S. and coalition forces.
