A STRING of anti-narcotics operations in Central Visayas launched by the local police this week resulted in the arrest of 11 known drug personalities including a 16-year old teenager and the seizure of some P300,000 worth of shabu, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas reported yesterday.
Sinas said that in Cebu City, police arrested Reynaldo Ricarte,29; Ervic Navarro,38; Francis Abe Mordeno, 40; and Mark Minosa, 39, during a buy-bust peration in Sitio Zapanta in McArthur Boulevard in Barangay Tejero 11::55 p.m. Wednesday.
Seized from the suspects were a total of five grams of shabu valued at P34,000, several drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.
In Lapu-Lapu City, police arrested Allan Cabucos,53; and his son Cllifford, 22, both residents of Logarta Street in Bgy. San Roque, Cebu City during a sting at the Old Terminal in Bgy. Pajo 4:25 p.m. Tuesday which led in the recovery of three plastic sachets containing some 15 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ worth P102,000 and the marked money paid to them by an undercover agent.
Local policemen also took custody of the 16-year old teenager who sold shabu to a poseur in Zone 1, Bgy. Buaya at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The teenager yielded some P42,000 worth of shabu, the marked P1,000 bill he received from the undercover officer and P500 which is believed to be part of his drug earnings that day. In Dumaguete City, local policemen arrested Milbert Miraflor,27, during a sting past 5 p.m. Tuesday which led in the confiscation of some 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 and the buy-bust money.
