CABANATUAN CITY – Due to ongoing rehabilitation works, five towns and two cities in Nueva Ecija will experience an 11-hour power outage on Monday, June 17, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines announced yesterday.
Affected are the towns of Guimba, Quezon, Lupao, Carranglan (serviced by the Nueva Ecija Electric Cooperative II-Area 1) and Pantabangan (Pantabangan municipal electric service) and the cities of San Jose (San Jose City Electric Cooperative) and Muòoz.
The NGCP said these areas will be affected due to the replacement of wood poles with steel poles along the San Pascual-Fatima 69KV line.
NGCP regional spokesman Ernest Vidal said the electric power service interruption will occur at 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on June 17.
Also to be hit on the same day by two 30-minute brownouts set at 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. is NEECO II-Area 1 (Aliaga sub-station), he said.
Meanwhile, Vidal also announced that the province of Aurora and parts of Nueva Ecija will also have an 11-hour brownout occurring tomorrow.
He outlined the outage schedule at: Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Affected: Aurora Electric Cooperative and the NEECO II-Area 2 (General Natividad, Bongabon, and Gabaldon substation).
