11 PRO6 personnel get medals

POLICE Regional Office 6 director, Brigadier General Rene P. Pamuspusan, the other day pinned the PNP Medalya ng Papuri on 11 Western Visayas police officers and men for their outstanding performance in the campaign against criminality in the region so far this year.

The PNP Commendation Medal was given by the PRO6 director to his men led by Lt. Col. Godfrey Buslotan during simple rites at Camp Delgado in Iloilo City.

Buslotan and Staff Sergeant Peter Laurence Organia of the Iloilo City Police Station were awarded for their efforts in arresting most wanted murder and frustrated murder suspect Russel Mosquera in Barangay Calaparan in Arevalo, Iloilo City last May 19.

On the other hand, Lt. Col. D’Artagnan Katalbas Jr. and Captain Richard Fajarito of the San Carlos City Police Station in Negros Occidental got the medal for arresting local drug dealers Romulo de Asis, Jundelo Cabaron and Ruel Taghoy during an anti-narcotics operation in Locsin Street in Parola, Bgy. 6, San Carlos City last May 31.

Five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu and various drug paraphernalia were recovered from the suspects.

The same medal was also given to Major Rey Teñala, Master Sgt. Charly Haro and Patrolman  Michael Endencio of the Buenavista Municipal Police Station in Guimaras for arresting Nathaniel Jover Sr., a man wanted for child abuse in Bgy. Mclain in Buenavista last June 4.
