2 armed shabu dealers killed, 16 fall in Bulacan drug stings

THREE armed drug dealers were killed in separate gunbattles while 16 others were arrested in a string of anti-narcotics operations in Bulacan on Tuesday and early morning Wednesday, Bulacan Police Provicial Office director, Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe said.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia, the official identified the slain suspects whom he said exchanged fire with officers after sensing they were about to be arrested as Nasrudin Ayao Ameril alia ‘Nash,’ Mark Jonathan Cagalingan and Angelito Enriquez.

Cajipe said Ameril, a man included in the watch list of the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, was killed in a shootout with undercover officers of the San Miguel Municipal Police Station under Lieutenant Col. Voltaire Rivera in Bgy. Sta. Rita Bata around 1:25 a.m. Tuesday.

Recovered from the slain man’s possession were 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, the marked money paid to him by the poseur, a caliber .38 revolver with two spent cartridges and two live ammunition and assorted identification cards.

The suspect’s Toyota Vios with plate no. CAH 3453 was impounded by the local police.

The two other suspects were gunned down by members of the San Jose del Monte City Police Station headed by Lt. Col. Gil Domingo during a buy-bust operation which ended up in a firefight in Bgy Assumption around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The slain suspects yielded 34 plastic sachets containing the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine,’ two improvised 12-gauge shotguns and the marked money they took from an agent during the sting.

Cajipe said the 16 other suspects, one of them a 17-year old male were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in the towns of San Ildefonso Sta. Maria, San Miguel, San Rafael and Balagtas and Malolos and San Jose del Monte cities.

He said four of the arrested adult suspects were Jerome Vargas, Mark Joseph Celon, Glenmar Dionisio and Joel Lacsina, all included in the PNP-PDEA watch list.

The others are Harold Bautista, Ma Jeonie Paraiso and Jordan Villegas, all included in the watch list of Bulacan police stations and Edward Alcañices, Noemi Montilla, Janet Elloranda, Sarah Socor,  Alfred Dingwasen, Jennifer Maragrag, Ace Ventura and Mico Borja.

Recovered from the suspects were 42 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, the marked money paid to them by undercover officers and assorted drug paraphernalia.
