CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- Two alleged leaders of crime groups were arrested by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region 3 (CIDG3) over the weekend.
Senior Supt. Christopher Abrahano, CIDG3 chief, identified the suspects as Patricio Ramos y Garcia, 45, resident of Purok 2, Bgy. Imbunia, Jaen, Nueva Ecija; and Gener de Jesus Desederio Jr., 54, married, tricycle driver, of Bgy. Patag, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
Serving of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Ana Marie Joson-Viterbo of RTC Branch 24, 3rd Judicial Region, Cabanatuan City led to the arrest of Ramos and the confiscation of a cal. .40 Taurus pistol with two magazines and 27 live ammunition.
Abrahano said the suspect is a leader of “Ramos Criminal Group” involved in illegal trade of firearms in District 4 of Nueva Ecija.
Desederio, meanwhile, was arrested after the serving of a search warrant issued by Vice Executive Judge Sita Jose Clemente of RTC Branch 16, Malolos City.
Seized from the suspect were a cal. .45 Norinco pistol with four magazines and 29 live ammunition.
Abrahano said the arrested suspect was reported as a newly-identified member of “San Diego Criminal Group” involved in robbery-holdup, gun-for-hire and carnapping activities that operate in the municipality of Sta. Maria and other towns of Bulacan.
Both suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act of 2013.
