TWO suspected big-time female drug traffickers in Central Visayas have been arrested by agents of the Police Regional Office 7 during two separate buy-bust operations which resulted in the confiscation of some P10.5 million worth of shabu, PRO7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas said yesterday.
One of the suspects identified as Judy Ann Longit was arrested early morning yesterday in a sting in Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City which led in the recovery of some P8.8 million worth of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine.’
The official said members of the Cebu City Police Station 9 at around 12:30 in the morning seized two plastic packets containing over one kilo of shabu and the boodle money topped by a marked P1,000 bill.
Last Friday evening, the second suspect identified as Ray Anne Singkol Tisoy, a 20-year old jobless resident of Hawod Compound in Bgy. Bulacao, Cebu City was arrested by the local police after she sold an estimated P1.7 million worth of shabu to an undercover officer.
Sinas said the suspect was placed under arrest during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Laguna in Bgy. Bulacao 10:10 p.m. Friday conducted by members of the Pardo Police Station of the Cebu City Police Office headed by Major Regino Maramag.
The female suspect yielded seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 250 grams of shabu boodle money topped by a marked P500 bill, Sinas said.
Operations are still ongoing to arrest the main source of the drugs recovered from the suspects who will be facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Sinas.
