2 men get death for desert

TWO still unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen shot and killed two men who had just finished their lunch at a small eatery in Valencia City, Bukidnon shortly after noon Tuesday, a Police Regional Office 10 report said.

The killers who were wearing black jackets fled on board a Mio motorbike after shooting Frederic Teric, a 49-year old farmer from Purok 8, Bgy. Batangan and Fernando Alere,46, a resident of Purok 3 in Bgy. Barobo beside the Higup Eatery in Purok 5, Bgy. Lumbo around 12:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Bukidnon Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Jun Mark Lagare said their investigation showed the victims were talking with each other after having their lunch when the suspects arrived and shot them repeatedly.

The killers fled towards Buffalo Village in Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon.

The two suffered multiple gunshot wounds in their bodies and were pronounced dead om arrival at the Laviña Hospital.

The motive and identities of the killers are still being investigated by the local police as of press time.
