TWO men were killed while two were wounded when their motorcycles collided with each other in Pinamungahan, Cebu 5 p.m. Wednesday, a Police Regional Office 7 report said yesterday.
PRO7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas identified the fatalities as Ramsey Alisoso, 37, and Roderick Benitez, 20, while injured and hospitalized were Benitez’ back-riders, Jaymicito Villahermosa, 19 and Victor Hipolan, 20.
The official said that Alisoso and Benitez, both residents of Barangay Rizal in Pinamungajan municipality, collided in Sitio Banban in Bgy. Pandacan.
An initial investigation showed that Alisoso was on board his Honda XRM with plate no. 7955 SS when his motorbike was hit by the Rusi 125cc motorcycle being driven by Benitez.
Witnesses said that Benitez tried to overtake Alisoso but lost control of the motorbike causing the collision which threw both drivers to the ground, landing head first.
The victims were taken to the Pinamungajan District Hospital by a local emergency crew where an attending physician declared the two drivers dead upon arrival.
