2 sisters stabbed dead in Ecija home

SAN JOSE City -- Two female siblings were killed  while another woman was injured after a man barged inside their house and stabbed them repeatedly in an alleged fit of rage early Wednesday morning here.

Killed were sisters Gina Garcia, 39, married; and Jenny Grace Garcia, single, while critically-wounded was Karen Rosete, 29, single, all of Diamond St., Rufina Homes 3, Bgy. Malasin, this city.

City police head Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno identified the suspect as Edmer Balimbin, a native of Bgy. Dolores, Quirino, Isabela. who fled after the incident.

The victims are aunts of the suspect’s former wife, who is allegedly working abroad. The ten-year-old son of the ex-couple is allegedly in their custody and the suspect wanted to get the child.

Police said around 3 a.m., the suspect  climbed the fence before entering the front door which was  unlocked. The victims were shocked to see the victim , who asked for his  son.

When the suspect could not find his son, he pulled out a knife and stabbed the victims.

The three victims were rushed to the San Jose City General Hospital  but Gina and Jenny Grace were declared dead upon arrival.
