CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas —At least twenty-one suspected illegal gamblers were arrested last Sunday by various raids conducted by the police in a city and another towns in Batangas, provincial police PIO chief Police Lieutenant Mary Anne DV Esina said .
A report to Batangas police director Col. Rex Arvin T. Malimban by Batangas City police chief Lt. Col. Gerry M. Laylo said the five suspects who were arrested in the raid in Bgy. Pinamucan Silangan, Batangas City identified as Edgar Malibiran, Ruben Arevalo, Dionisio Espiritu, and Marcelino Baes.

Lobo police said that at around 3 p.m. sakd they arrested five suspects in an anti-illegal gambling operation in Sitio Hulo, Bgy. Masaguitsit. The nabbed suspects were identified as Pepito Anyayyahan, Apollo Anyayayhan, John Paul Cueto, John dave, Busatamate, and Marjune Anyayayhan. Recovered were two fighting cocks, three gaffs, and P2,250 in bets.
Ibaan town police nabbed four tupada bettors in Bgy. Sandalan, around 2 o’clock in the afternoon, and seized two fighting cocks cellphones and bet money at the scene.
Another four individuals were handcuffed in a raid in Bgy. Maugat West at 12:45 p.m. by Padre Garcia town police and recovered fighting cocks, gaffs, and P3,400 bets.
Lian police also collared three sabungeros in Bgy. Cumba at around 12:25 p.m.
Recovered at the scene were cockfighting cocks, seven gaffs, a wood fitter, and gambling money.
In Calaca, three men were arrested in a raid in Bgy. Sinisian at 12:45 p.m. Seized were three live fighting cocks, a cage, two dead fighting cocks and three gaffs.
