CABANATUAN City -- Over 26,000 workers and employees of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Small Town Lottery (STL) local franchise holder here affected by the July 26 stoppage of its operations in Nueva Ecija received relief goods from a trader here.
Henry Lim, an official of CTG Prime Ventures Inc., Nueva Ecija STL franchise holder, said their firm decided to give assistance to their affected workers despite teh suspension of its operations.
“Hindi lamang ngayong natigil ang operasyon tayo nagbibigay ng tulong sa ating mga tauhan at mga kapuwa Novo Ecijano kundi tuwing panahon din ng may emergency o kalamidad tumutulong ang CTGPVI,” said Lim.
Among those who received the relief goodswere Imelda Taruc and Imelda Cabanding, who were earning at least P600 a day before the STL operations were stopped by President Rodrigo Duterte on July 26 allegedly due to “massive corruption.”
Lim said based on PCSO records, their firm is one of those religiously complying with the rules and regulations set forth by the agency.
