CAMP Brig. Gen. Vicente, Lim, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna -- Three drug pushers were killed in Laguna, Batangas and Quezon during police anti-illegal drug operations last Thursday.
Senior Supt. Kirby John Brion Kraft, provincial police director, identified the slain suspect as Leo Pulido, alias Boy, 30, single, of Purok 6, Bgy. Bucal, Calamba City.
Kraft said the suspect sold four sachets of shabu at 3:40 p.m. in said place when a gunbattle erupted when the suspect resisted, took out his cal. .9mm pistol and fired at the officers.
Police recovered 5.5 grams of shabu from the suspect.
In Tanauan City, Batangas, a certain Larry Fruelda, of legal age, of Bgy. 4, agreed to sell shabu at 11:40 a.m. when he engaged the cop in a gunbattle. A cal. .38 revolver and a sachet of shabu were found from the suspect.
In Lucena City, Quezon, a certain Norberto Villafranca Panoso, of Bayabas St., Purok-Atin-Atin, Bgy. Market View, Lucena City, was shot dead when he opted to fight off the arresting police officers during a buy-bust operation at 1:10 a.m. yesterday.
The suspect was armed with a revolver when he refused to surrender after policemen surrounded him.
The suspect tried to escape, fired his gun at the officers but was shot dead by the former.
In another police anti-drug operations, five drug pushers in Laguna were arrested, said Senior Supt. Kraft.
They were Loida Salazar, 61, married, of Bgy. M. Pandeño, Siniloan, Laguna; Robking de Mesa, alias King, 44, of Bgy. Banilan, Pakil, Laguna; Lamberto Lizartiguis, alias Jr., 42, married, construction worker, of Bgy. Banilan, Pakil, Laguna.
In the City of Cabuyao, police arrested drug suspects Michael Mercado, 38, of Purok 7, Bgy. Majada Out, of Calamba City, and Ravi Villaran, 34, of 34 Hibicus St., Ceres 1 and 2, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City. Both are on the police drug watchlist.
