ANGELES CITY – Three girlie bars along the red light district of Fields Avenue in Barangay Balibago here were recently closed down by the police for operating without proper document.

A report received by Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia identified the bars as Owl’s Nest, Bacarra, and Red Bar, all located along the Walking Street of Fields Avenue.

The saturation drive and closure of the said establishments were ordered by this city’s Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr.

The saturation drive aimed at fighting human trafficking and child exploitation and ensuring that all establishments have permits from the city’s business permit and licensing office and the city health office.

Vendors operating illegally were also target of the operation.

Appropriate charges were set to be filed at the Angeles City Prosecutor’s Office against the owners and managers of the erring bars.

Meanwhile, two Chinese nationals were arrested for allegedly pimping 14 foreigners inside Clark Freeport Zone last Tuesday.
