3 held for drugs in Batangas

CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas -- Three suspected shabu users were arrested by authorities at a relocation site in Bgy. Balete, here, provincial police PIO chief Senior Insp. Kerwin Amor Umali Cabrales said yesterday.

A report to local police director Senior Supt. Edwin A. Quilates by town police chief Supt. Sancho O. Celedio identified those arrested as Edward Arbes Driz, alias Weng; Divine Chrystal Catilo Adora, alias Taliya (both previously arrested for the same offenses), 19, and 25-year-old Lorna Martinez Levantino, alias Lorna (newly-identified drug personality)

Celedio said that moments after midnight yesterday, the Drug Enforcement Units (DEU) of this police station conducted a surveillance at the house of alias Weng regarding an ongoing pot session that resulted in the arrest of the three suspects, who were caught in the act of sniffing suspected shabu. Seized were nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, an unsealed plastic sachet of shabu, a disposable lighter, a aluminum foil strip, an improvised aluminum pipe, a coin purse, two pieces of P50 bills and six pieces of P20 bills.

Meanwhile, Sta. Teresita Municipal Police Station chief Senior Insp. Dave Alex R. Mercado announced the arrest of Maridel Alberto Lontoc, 38, a newly-identified drug personality, single, of Bgy. Sta Clara, in a buy-bust in Bgy. Población 2.

He said the DEU conducted a buy-bust operation at 4 p.m. under PDEA Coordination Control Number 10005-122018-0129 which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.

SPO2 Nolly B. de Villa said the team seized four small transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu (0.20 gram) and a P500 in marked money.
