Three suspected drug personalities were arrested by operatives of Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) during separate anti-illegal drug operations in Sta. Rosa City and Famy town in Laguna, yesterday morning.
A report submitted to acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Kirby John Brion Kraft by Supt. Eugene Orate, Sta. Rosa police chief, said the suspect, identified as Christian Odana Sauler, 27, of 705, Phase 3, Olympia Subd., Bgy. Labas, and Joshua Lada Carta, of 101 Captain Perlas, Bgy. Pooc, both of Sta. Rosa City.
The duo, according to Supt. Orate were included on the drug watchlists in the city. They were charged for violation of RA 9165.
The operatives of Drug Enforcement Unit conducted buy-bust operation at 2:30 a.m. where the suspects transacted with a police poseur-buyer which led to their arrest in Perlas Subd., Bgy. Tagapok, Sta. Rosa City.
Operatives seized from the suspects seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and a marked P500 bill.
The suspects were locked up in jail while the recovered pieces of evidence will be brought to Regional Crime Laboratory Office for drug test.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old woman involved in illegal drugs was arrested by DEU operatives during the implementation of a search warrant in Bgy. Batuhan, Famy, Laguna, Monday morning.
Senior Insp. Robin Llanes Martin, OIC police chief, said the suspect, identified as Restita Nagum, widow, yielded three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and an open plastic sachet with shabu residue.
The operating team, armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Agripino G. Morga, of RTC Branches 29-32, San Pablo City, arrested the suspect, who faces charges for violation of RA 9165 before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
