3 killed in Laguna, Rizal anti-drug, anti-crime ops, dozen arrested

CAMP Brig. Gen. Vi-cente Lim, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna -- A drug suspect in Laguna and two suspected members of a robbery group in Rizal were killed during anti- drug and anti-criminality loperations last Sunday.

Police said that a certain Wilfredo Gonzales, alias ‘Akong’, was shot dead by members of the local Drug Enforcement Unit after dealing them with shabu at 1:20 p.m. in Dela Paz Village, Bgy. Dela Paz.

The suspect handed a huge sachet which contained shabu but quickly resisted arrest and pulled out a cal. .38 revolver. He died on the spot and yielded five grams of shabu.

In Cainta, Rizal, the unidentified suspects, both reportedly members of the ‘Orendain Robbery Group’ which operates in the province got entangle with the police at Cainta Junction in Bgy. San Andres at 1:30 a.m.

The suspects onboard a white scooter did not stop after being flagged down but instead sped away, prompting other members of the operating unit to chase them   until they reached Midtown Subdivision in Cainta town.

In other police operation against illegal drugs in Laguna and Rizal, arrested were Elizabeth Mendoza, of Sikap, Purok 3, Bgy. San Antonio, San Pedro City for possession of 6 sachets of shabu; Ritchie Leyson, of Bgy. Talortor, Majayjay (1 sachet); Rosana Rendon, of Bgy. Canlalay, Biñan (10 sachets); Mario Javier Jr., of Bgy. Halayhayin, Siniloan (6 sachets); John Legaspi Saliba, of Bgy. Punta, Calamba (1 sachet); Ranelyn Passion, of Bgy. Pauli-2, (1 sachet); Angelina Carigma, alias ‘Valerie’, of Bgy. Pauli-2 (1 sachet); Emelda Lacbayen, of Bgy. Bagong Silang, Lumban (3 sachets); and Jovito Peru Fernandez, of Purok 2, Bgy. Macabling, Sta. Rosa City (6 sachets).

In Morong, Rizal, Ivan Jos Parcarey, alias ‘Pusa’, was shot in the left leg while his 17-year-old companion was arrested and turned over to the DSWD office during an anti-drug operation in Bgy. San Pedro at 9:50 p.m.

Also collared were Romeo Vergara, alias ‘Koms’, of 6 Beneliza St., Beneliza Compound, Bgy. Ampid 1, San Mateo (5 sachets); Jonalyn Bolante, of Bgy. San Pedro, Morong (5 sachets); Arries Anibo, of Bgy. Quisao, Pililla (2 sachets) and Albert Coronacion, of Bgy. Niogan, Pililla (2 sachets). With Gil Aman
