A total of 310 individuals were arrested over the weekend in simultaneous police operations in Central Luzon, where most wanted criminals fell into custody.
In the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) held from Dec. 13 to 16, police nabbed three persons considered most wanted and 151 persons were arrested for illegal drugs.
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-3 headed by General Rhodel Sermonia reported the arrest of 59 individuals for violation of other special laws and local ordinances, confiscation of 13 assorted firearms and seizure of 376 sachets of shabu and 28 sachets of marijuana, as well as P4,951 cash bets and several illegal gambling paraphernalia.
Sermonia said he directed all provincial directors and chiefs of police in the region to conduct the weekend SACLEO, which is the successor of the One Time Big Time operation, to reinvigorate anti-criminality and anti-insurgency efforts.
“The Central Luzon police chief bared that continuous proactive crime prevention and the same state of security preparedness to address security and public safety concerns in the entire region is being carried out especially now that it is the Yuletide Season,” PRO-3 posted in its official social media page.
