3 nabbed, P14M shabu seized

TWO separate anti-narcotics operations in Central Visayas on Thursday resulted in the arrest of three ‘high-value drug targets’ and the seizure of nearly P14 million worth of shabu, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas told People’s Tonight yesterday.

Two of the suspects identified as Arcelia Tamarion alias ‘Arceli,’ a 35-year old jobless resident of 177-F, T. Padilla Street in Cebu City and Stanley Urdaneta, 37, of F. Villa Street, M.J. Cuenco Avenue, Cebu City were placed under arrest after conspiring to sell the drugs to an undercover officer in Sitio Mustang, Barangay Pusok in Lapu-Lapu City 11:15 p.m. Thursday, the official said.

According to Sinas, local policemen led by Lieutenant Colonel Mark Gifter Sucalit recovered  a shoulder bag containing a caliber .45 pistol with a loaded magazine, 12 plastic packets containing a total of 1.055 kilograms of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ worth P6.803 million, two bundles of boodle money topped by four marked P500 bills and P2,000 cash believed to be part of the duo’s drug proceeds during the sting.
