3 ‘salvage’ victims found in Mindoro

THREE men  believed to be victims of summary execution were found in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, a Police Regional Office 4-B report said yesterday.

Residents living near the Buswangan Bridge, Zone 1-B in Barangay Burgos, Sablayan found the victims, whose  hands were tied with  masking tape and with bullet wounds in their heads,  around 9 a.m. on Saturday, said PRO4-B headed by Chief Superintendent Tomas C. Apolinario Jr.

One of the victims was  wearing a white t-shirt, maong pants, blue slippers and blindfolded with a white towel. His arms and feet were tied with packing tapes and plastic garbage bag.

The second victim was wearing a red t-shirt, maong pants and blindfolded with black shirt while his arms and feet were tied with a plastic trash bag and packing tape.

The third victim was  wearing a gray sando and  maong pants. He was found with a black head mask and blindfolded with a packing tape and garbage bag and his arms tied with packing tape, a garbage bag and a white towel.

Members of the Sablayan municipal police rushed to the site after getting a call from barangay captain Sileny Epitito.

A team of forensic experts from the Crime Laboratory have joined the ongoing investigation into the incident. As of press time, the Sablayan police are still looking for clues and witnesses that could help them identify the victims and the men who dumped them in the area.
