BULACAN policemen gunned down three armed drug trafficking suspects and hauled to jail 33 other law offenders during their conduct of simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operations last Tuesday and yesterday, a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Joel Napoleon M. Coronel said yesterday.
The slain suspects were identified as Roy Manabat alias ‘Pot-Pot,’ a resident of Calumpit; Edward Liban of San Jose del Monte City; and Teodorico Perez alias ‘Teddy Perez,’ a resident of Norzagaray.
Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Chito G. Bersaluna said that Manabat was killed after engaging undercover anti-narcotics agents in a shootout in Barangay Corazon in Calumpit last Tuesday.
Liban, a resident of Block 1, Lot 23, Purok 10, Area C in Bgy. San Martin, San Jose del Monte City was gunned down in a similar operation which turned awry when the suspect sensed the sting and started firing at the poseur around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.
On the other hand, Perez, a 61-year-old jobless resident of Sitio Palale in Bgy. Pinagtulayan in Norzagaray town was shot and killed following a firefight with anti-drug operatives at 12:30 a.m. yesterday.
Bersaluna said that recovered from the slain suspects’ possession were two loaded caliber .38 revolvers, one cal. .22 long rifle, 35 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the buy-bust money.
