FOUR armed men who robbed occupants of a house in General Santos City last Saturday were arrested by the local police following a high-speed chase, Police Regional Office 12 director, Brigadier General Alfred S. Corpus, announced yesterday.
The official said the four arrested suspects were positively identified by their victims as the men who robbed them. They were identified as Jose Antoque Jr., 51, a resident of Block 11, Lot 2, El Rio Vista Village in Bacaca, Davao City; Ricky Faulve,47, of Barangay Pida, Panabo, Davao del Sur; and Ariel Gubantes and Ramon Catamisan, both 30-year-old residents of Bgy. Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
Corpus said that recovered from the suspects were two loaded caliber .38 revolvers without serial numbers, four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and several drug paraphernalia as well as part of their loot which include one iPhone unit and a laptop computer.
The PRO12 director said that members of the General Santos City Police Station 4 and the City Mobile Force Company cornered the four suspects along Mabuhay Road following a chase.
It turned out that at around 7:10 p.m. Saturday, two of the suspects identified as Faulve and Gubantes knocked at the gate of the Suarez resident at 4th Street, Manansala Subdivision in Bgy. San Isidro.
