NAGA City -- As thousands of city residents trekked to local cemeteries on Thursday, four suspected drug dealers, including primary target Homer Sumayao, 38, was nabbed by the drug enforcement unit, along with three others in Zone 3, Bgy. Mabulo. The suspects yielded 25 grams (“bulto”) and three plastic sachets of shabu with a street value of P100,000.
SPO2 Tobias Bongon, spokesperson of Naga City Police Office, said a police poseur-buyer and Sumayao agreed to conclude a drug deal (in “bulto”) worth P70,000.
Sumayao, who is a high-value target of the city police, was nabbed during the entrapment, together with three drug pushers, Esmael Calacal, Ace Lauron and Tirso Tajon.
Tajon, of Libmanan town, said he just accompanied his “kompare” Lauron to Naga City and was not aware of the illegal drug deal.
Bongon said the drug buy-bust was timely, which prevented the distribution of over a “bulto” of shabu during All Saints’ Day.
Meanwhile in Iriga City, Supt. Chito Oyardo said they recovered a travelling bag with 30 assorted packs of dried marijuana leaves along with marijuana stems dumped on Molave St., Bgy. San Juan.
Oyardo said the marijuana packs worth about P100,000 were reportedly left for pick up by the buyer when it was found by a local resident.
