4 killed in Bulacan PNP’s anti-narcotics campaign

SIMULTANEOUS anti-narcotics operations in Bulacan conducted by the local police yesterday resulted in the killing of four armed suspects and the arrest of 15 others, a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Joel Napoleon M. Coronel said.

Two of the suspects identified as Jay-R Ansiboy and Romel Banay were gunned down by members of the San Jose del Monte City Police Station headed by

Lt. Col. Orlando L. Castil Jr. in a shootout in Sitio Paculis in Barangay Gaya-Gaya around 1 in the morning.

Recovered from the slain suspects’ possession were one caliber .38 revolver with five spent cartridges and a live ammunition, one improvised 12-gauge shotgun with a spent casing, 17 small heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a small plastic packet with dried marijuana leaves and a marked P500 bill.

A Honda Click motorcycle with plate no. 0301-0556501 used by the suspects in transporting the drugs was also impounded by the local police.

Castil said the two had just conspired to sell shabu to an undercover officer when they sensed they were dealing with a policeman and tried to shoot the poseur prompting the exchange of fire.

The third suspect identified as Amador Medina was killed in a shootout with anti-narcotics operatives of the Pandi Municipal Police Station in Bgy. Masagana at 2:30 in the morning.

The slain suspect was found in possession of seven plastic sachets containing shabu, a cal. .38 revolver with serial no. 10994 with two spent casing and four live ammunition and the marked money he received from the agent.

The fourth suspect identified as Reynaldo del Rosario Jr. died in a gunbattle with members of the San Rafael Municipal Police Station headed by Lt. Col. Laurente Acquiot in Bgy. Maronquillo.  A second suspect however managed to escape arrest and is still being hunted.

The suspect yielded a home-made .38 revolver with four live bullets and a spent casing, seven plastic sachets with shabu and the marked money paid to him by the poseur. Acquiot said the slain suspect’s Yamaha Aerox motorcycle without plate number was impounded at the local police station.

Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Chito G. Bersaluna said 15 other known drug dealers in the province were also arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Meycauayan and San Jose del  Monte cities and the municipalities of Baliwag, Marilao and Sta. Maria.

He identified the suspects as Regie Dionisio,32; Ronald Bernardo,39; Robelyn Garcia,23; Rolando Felix,43; Michael Angelo Manalang,31; Jefferson Cantorne,38; Jamil Orangan,36; Norberto Quisias,35; Chito Indoma,34; Jayson Renaldo,21; Jersy Ricafrente,32; Kyle Vincent Mangaron,18; Erwin Jeffrey Samson,20 Mark Balantad,24; and Ireneo Cruz,64.

Dionisio and Quisias were found to be included in the most wanted list of the Baliwag and Meycauayan police drug enforcement unit, said the official.

Bersaluna said recovered from the arrested suspects’ possession were 22 plastic sachets with shabu, seven dried marijuana bricks and marked money they received from undercover operatives.

All suspects are now facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said the official.
