5 killed in WM shooting incidents

FIVE persons were killed in separate shooting and stabbing incidents in Western Mindanao over the weekend, PRO 9 director, Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D. Licup report said yesterday.

One of the victims identified as Lady Kandawa Agga, a 28-year-old resident of Hongkong, Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman around 6 a.m. Saturday.

An investigation showed that the victim was on her way to the city market where she sells pancakes and juice when gunned down.

Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Purok 3, Barangay Bokong in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur, a drunken man identified as Jerome Inso, 24, was shot dead by a local ‘tanod’ after he reportedly went wild while armed with a hunting knife.

Licup said that the suspect identified as Redentor Elloric, 46, a ‘tanod’ of Bgy. Bokong was turned over by his superior to the local police as well as a caliber .357 revolver with three live ammunition and two spent cartridges which he used in the shooting.

Inso suffered a gunshot wound in his right chest and died while being rushed to the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center in Pagadian City.

In Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay, 48-year old seaweed farmer Matugol Adin was gunned down by a still unidentified suspect. A local police investigation showed that the body of the victim was found by a mango picker in Purok Rosal in Bgy. Dawa-Dawa at 9 p.m. Saturday.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the body and police recovered a spent cal. .45 cartridge, six spent M-16 casings and three spent M-14 cartridges at the scene of the killing.
