FIVE suspected ‘high-value’ drug targets in Zamboanga City were arrested by the local police in three separate anti-narcotics operations last Thursday, Police Regional Office 9 director, Brigadier General Froilan F. Quidilla reported yesterday.
Two of the suspects identified as Michael dela Cruz,42, and Jeffrey Abdulsalam,30, both residents of Sapang Palay, Baliwasan Grande, Zamboanga City were arrested after they conspired to sell shabu to an undercover officer of the Zamboanga City Police Station 11 around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, the official said.
Recovered from the suspects’ possession were 36 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing some P25,000 worth of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ and the boodle money topped by a marked P500 bill.
Two others identified as Adzmir Sali,47; and Maudodi Sattar,32, were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the PRO9 Regional Drug Enforcement Unit in Ayer Village in Bgy. Sta. Barbara 10:25 p.m. of the same day.
Quidilla said the suspects yielded 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 and a marked P1,000 bill paid to them by a poseur.
