6 vehicles burst into flames in Carmona town road mishap

SIX vehicles, including a dump truck, all burst into flames, after they figured in accident in Carmona, Cavite last Saturday morning.

Police said nobody was killed but the dump truck’s driver and helper identified as Foy Yanga Espiritu, 33, and Edmong Cornelio Lautiya, were injured and brought to the Pagamutang Bayan of Carmona, Cavite.

Police said according to the driver, at about 7:30 a.m., the dump truck lost its brake and rammed two shuttle buses driven by Rahndell Toba of Jaro, Sabang, Dasma and Vincent Guyha Estorco of Silang, Cavite.

Another three vehicles – a Suzuki Ertiga driven by Celsie Baltazar Cervera of Sitio Centro, Gana-Caba, La Union, a tractor head with trailer driven by Ramil Lumaban Macahilos of San Luis, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and an Isuzu truck driven by Christopher Ricohermoso Calisin of Malinao Ibaba, Atimonan, Quezon, all travelling to General Mariano Alvarez in opposite direction – also got hit.

The fire started from the dump truck and quickly gutted the other vehicles through the leaked gasoline and crude oil.  The blaze was put out only when firemen from different towns and cities arrived to help.
