SEVEN known ‘high-value’ drug targets in Central Visayas were hauled to jail by agents of the Police Regional Office 7 in three separate operations in the region on Thursday which resulted in the confiscation of some P1.6 million worth of shabu, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas announced yesterday.
The official identified the two as Roland Ceballos, a 21-year-old driver from Bohol Village, Barangay Duljo Fatima in Cebu City and Claire Sanchez,46, a resident of Victoria Village, Bgy. Tabunok in Talisay City, Cebu.
Sinas said Ceballos was arrested by undercover officers of the Cebu City Police Office and the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group during a buy-bust operation in Bohol Village at 6:20 p.m. Thursday.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession were eight heat-sealed plastic sachets containing some 170 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ worth P1.2 million and the boodle money topped by a marked P1,000 bill.
On the other hand, Sanchez was arrested by members of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Talisay City Police Station under Major Orlando Carag Jr. during an entrapment operation in East Poblacion, Naga City, Cebu at 5:50 p.m. Thursday.
