CAMP Brig. Gen. Paciano Rizal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna -- A day after Laguna cops killed five drug suspects and nabbed 32 others in separate operations last Sunday, police also killed seven more pushers and arrested 10 others on Monday.
Policemen in Kalayaan town, one of the farthest municipalities along Laguna Bay, killed a certain ‘Mike’ during a buy-bust operation at 10:45 p.m.
Operatives from the Kalayaan Municipal Police Station went to Kalayaan Mountain View Deck in Bgy. Longos to transact for drugs with the suspect. The suspect, police said, engaged the officers in a gun fight that resulted in his death.
In Cavinti town, policemen shot dead a certain ‘Edwin’ after selling a sachet of shabu at 10:50 p.m. on national highway in Bgy. Lumot where the suspect, armed with a revolver, engaged the officers in a gunfight.
In Lumban municipality, drug suspect Francisco Padua, alias ‘Kid’, of Bgy. Balimbingan, clashed with the cops at 12:05 a.m. The suspect, who died on the spot, yielded a revolver and a sachet of shabu.
In Biñan City, three unidentified drug suspects died during buy-bust operations along the railroad tracks at 1:30 a.m. and 3:15 a.m.
Police said one of the suspects contacted their assets that he had shabu for sale. The suspect hurriedly picked up the payment and ran as he sensed the policemen would arrest him.
A skirmish ensued, hitting the suspect who died while undergoing treament at the hospital.
In Bgy. Sto. Niño, Biñan City, police engaged two unidentified drug suspects after selling dried marijuana leaves to a poseur-buyer.
The selling time was 1 a.m. but the suspect changed it to 3 a.m.
While riding a motorcycle with drawn firearms, the suspects took the marked money. But before they could speed away, police surrounded them, prompting the suspects to open fire at them. The suspects died at Ospital ng Biñan.
Police recovered two cal. .38 revolvers and sachets of shabu.
In Bgy. Landayan, San Pedro City, a certain Rodante Aragao, alias “Pasay”, was killed in a shootout with policemen, who recovered three sachets of shabu and a cal. .45 pistol at the crime scene.
In other anti-drug operations, police arrested Niño Valderrama, of Bgy. Libis ng Nayon, Mabitac for possession of 5 sachets of shabu; Leomar Manalo, of Bgy. Acevida, Siniloan (5 sachets); Helmar Evangelista, of Bgy. Tavera, Pakil (2 sachets); Isabelo dela Rosa, of Bgy. M. Pandeño, Siniloan (4 sachets); Allan Paraiso, of Bgy. Bagong Pook, Pila (3 sachets); Jeoffrey Alcaraz, of Bgy. Real, Calamba City (6 sachets); Michael Barahil Barrera, of Bgy. Pooc, Sta. Rosa City (10 sachets); Christian Santillan Cimbacruz, of Bgy. Malusak, Sta. Rosa City (6 sachets); Daniel Velasquez, of Bgy. Tala, Rizal (3 sachets) and Kenneth Joe Opinion, of Bgy. Cabuoan, Sta. Maria (1 sachet).
