719 suspects fall in Laguna police intensified operations

Camp BGen. Paciano Rizal – The Laguna Police Provincial Office announced that a total of 719 suspects and wanted persons were arrested in its intensified police operations and interventions.

Of the total number, 399 were arrested in police interventions which include checkpoints, Oplan Bakal, Oplan Sita, mobile and beat patrols, Bisita Alpha, Oplan Katok, Oplan Bulabog and Oplan Galugad. Also, 115 vehicles were impounded and 19 firearms were confiscated during these interventions.

Meanwhile, 136 suspects were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations while 115 were collared in its anti-illegal gambling operations while 69 of the arrested persons are wanted and most wanted persons in its manhunt operations. Nineteen of these are most wanted persons while 50 are other wanted persons.

The Laguna PNP alsoconducted Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) from January 23 to 29, 2021 that led to the arrest of 128 suspects in anti-illegal drug and anti-illegal gambling operations including the arrest of a high-value individual.

Meanwhile, the Laguna PNP arrested 69 wanted and most wanted persons in its manhunt operations. Nineteen of these are most wanted persons while 50 are the other wanted persons.

During the 4th quarter of 2020, Laguna PNP hasd the highest accomplishment against wanted persons region-wide in Calabarzon.

Laguna PNP has also strengthened its interventions in an aim to end the local-communist-armed-conflict. These include seminars on E.O. 70 and distribution of reading or IEC materials which aim to increase the knowledge of constituents on the impact of terrorism on their lives.

As part of its internal cleansing program, the Laguna PNP is currently conducting surprise and scheduled drug tests on its personnel. One thousand five hundred twenty-one personnel of the Laguna PPO have undergone drug tests as of today.

Laguna Provincial director P/Col. Serafin Petalio II directed the chiefs of police to focus on cases related to the eight-focus crimes.
