NINE persons were injured in two separate vehicular accidents in Iloilo and Makati City, police reported yesterday.
Report sent to the Public Commuters and Motorists Alliance (PCMA) said at least three persons were injured when a multi-cab and car collided in the vicinity of Calajunan, Mandurriao, before dawn Wednesday.
Police identified those injured as multicab driver Mark Exodus Sañor, car driver Reyland Fernandez and one of his passengers, Michael Villanueva.
Local traffic police investigator PO3 Toto Petalco said all the injured victims were brought to the hospital and confined.
Police said they are still investigating the cause of the incident following the initial report that both vehicles were overspeeding before they collided.
In Makati, six persons were injured after the taxi they were riding crashed into a post along EDSA southbound flyover.
Police said among those injured were the driver and his 5 passengers.
Police said they are investigating the report that the driver identified as JH De Guzman was sleeping before the crash happened.
Police said the front side of the taxi was heavily damaged.
Police said the driver was facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting to the multiple serious physical injuries and damage to property.
