99 men nabbed in Cavite for drugs, crimes, GCQ breaches

NINETY-NINE men, 18 of the wanted for drugs and other felonies and the rest quarantine violators were hauled to jail by agents of the Cavite Police Provincial Office on Sunday and Monday a report to Police Regional Office 4-A director, Brigadier General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said.

Cavite Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Marlon R. Santos  said one of the suspects who was tagged as a small-time drug dealer in General Aguinaldo town was arrested after he sold some P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover officer.

Two other most wanted persons in the province identified as Monique Louise Henson, described as the 4th most wanted person in Cavite and Allan Ronald Abejuela, the 6th most wanted in Tagaytay City were arrested in separate manhunt operations on Sunday.

Henson was arrested for syndicated estafa while Abejuela was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for four counts of robbery with violence against or intimidation, said Santos.

Another 14 men were apprehended in Naic and General Trias City while involved in illegal gambling in violation of General Community Quarantine rules.

Santos said that the accused were caught engaged in ‘tupada’ or illegal cockfighting in Naic and playing ‘mahjong’ in public.

Another 81 persons were arrested for GCQ violations since Sunday, the official said. Of the 81, a total of 39 were apprehended for disregarding the curfew hours while 22 were accosted for violating social distancing rules. Another 20 were apprehended for not wearing face mask in public.

Santos said that the suspects are now facing appropriate criminal charges.
