DARAGA, Albay -- A foreman of JM Olbes Hardware Warehouse Construction site, identified as Santiago Barado Apin, 44, of Estanza, Legazpi City, could face criminal charges for isntalling electricity in a security perimeter fence at the construction site in Purok 1, Bgy. Bañag, which electrocuted Nor-berto Azores Jacob, 35.
Apin reported to the police on October 31 that Jacob was found dead after being electrocuted at the construction site.
Daraga police head Senior Insp. Archie L. Cristobal called on the Albay Emergency and Rescue Unit to check on the victim whose body was found with electrical burns and later declared dead-on-arrival at the Bicol Regional Teaching and Training Hospital (BRTTH) in Legazpi City.
Corazon Azores Jacob, 72, mother of the victim, told the police that his son has been missing since night of Oct. 30 when he went to watch a Miss Gay pageant at the covered court in Bgy. Binitayan.
Earlier, Apin told Dr. Guerreno, attending physician at BRTTH, that he installed electricity on the perimeter fence three days ago, to prevent intruders, loiterers and thieves from entering the construction site.
