ANGELES CITY – Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region III (PDEA-3) arrested an American tourist and a Filipino-American disc jockey during a buy-bust operation at the red light district of Barangay Balibago here at past midnight yesterday.

In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino, PDEA3 Director Lyndon P. Aspacio identified the suspects as Paul A. Montemayor (Fil-Am), male, 42; and Shaneeka L. Mcalister (US citizen), female, 38, currently residing at Barangay Anunas in this city.

The two were arrested after selling “kush oil” to a poseur buyer around 1 a.m. in front of a fastfood chain restaurant at Fields Avenue here.

Kush oil is extracted from a cannabis plant which is considered as high grade type of marijuana and has a mind-altering effect.

“Based on our investigation, Montemayor works as a disc jockey in a bar in Angeles City while Mcalister was an English teacher in South Korea in 2016 and has been staying in the country for more than a month as tourist,” Aspacio said.

The anti-drug operation, which was conducted with the operatives of the Police Station 4 here, yielded one piece black vape containing yellow vicious liquid, two pieces of small black box containing kush oil with a gross weight of 33 grams with an estimated street value of P14, 000 and the buy-bust money.
