ARMM cops nab 4 pushers, confiscate over P7M shabu

A SERIES of recent buy-bust operations conducted by agents of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Police Regional Office led in the arrest of four known drug personalities in the region and the seizure of over P7 million worth of shabu, ARMM police director, Brigadier General Marni C. Marcos Jr. announced yesterday.

Two of the suspects identified as Darangin Ombo Angatong alias ‘Salaudin’ and Lendi Aswi Mangondacan yielded some one kilo of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ worth P6.8 million during an entrapment operation in Purok 7 Kapigis, Barangay Eastern in Wao, Lanao del Sur, the official said.

Marcos said that members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Wao Municipal Police Station, the Army’s 34th Infantry Battalion, the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office and the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group were involved in the operation to arrest the two suspects.

The official said that the two suspects were wounded during the buy-bust operation and were taken to the Wao District Hospital for treatment under police guard. Also recovered from their possession were the marked money they received from an undercover officer, assorted identification cards and a blue Kia Picanto with plate no. ZFN-679.

On Monday, members of the PDEA-ARMM and the Talitay Municipal Police Station arrested 19-year old Faisal Buisan during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Talitay, Maguindanao.
