Aussie, Pinay pal sell ‘MJ’ brick, jailed in Tugegarao

A 42-YEAR-old Australian national and his Filipina pal are now in a Tuguegarao City police jail after they were arrested for conspiring to sell a marijuana brick to an undercover officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino announced yesterday.

David Sigl and Leilanie Bartolome, 20, were arrested during the buy-bust operation inside the Seguban Apartment located at no. 49 Gonzaga Street in Ugac Norte, Tuguegarao City last Thursday, said the PDEA chair.

According to Aquino, members of the PDEA Regional Office 2 and the local police conducted the sting which resulted in the confiscation of a dried marijuana brick weighing about 400 grams and valued at P48,000, two mobile phones and the marked money they received from the poseur.

The suspects have been charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Illegal Drugs), and Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Aquino.
