BATANGAS Capitol — The Batangas Provincial Government has begun the distribution of P150 million in aid as further assistance amid the COVID-19 crisis.
This is in line with Governor DoDo Mandanas’ directive to provide rewards or incentives to households without a recorded confirmed COVID-19 positive patient among its members, and to reach out to families who have yet to receive any assistance from the government.
This project by the Batangas Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19 and the Provincial Health Office aims to strengthen the province’s campaign to comply with each of the currently implemented minimum health standards, which are still considered ideal and effective protection against viruses.
“To those who are not involved in contact tracing, in order to help those who actually follow the implemented health protocols, we will provide them,” said Mandanas at the weekly meeting of the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force.
The distribution of aid, led by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office in collaboration with the Office of the Provincial Governor, and in liaison with Barangay Health Workers, began last March 25 in Ibaan. Distributed were vitamins, food packs, face masks and face shields.
Mandanas stressed the importance of the Cleansing, Prevention and Mask campaign, which includes established health guidelines such as regular hand washing with clean soap and water for 20 seconds, a distance of two meters, limiting physical interaction with others, and ensuring double protection by wearing a face mask and face shield.Publication Source : People's Tonight
