SEPARATE anti-narcotics operations in Bulacan over the past two days resulted in the killing of an armed drug dealer following a shootout with officers and the arrest of six  others, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Emma M. Libunao reported yesterday.

The official identified the slain suspect as Montecarlo Ciruela, a man whose name is included in the unified watch list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police Directorate for Intelligence.

According to  Libunao, the suspect had just sold a packet of shabu to an undercover officer of the San Jose del Monte City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay San Manuel at 11:30 p.m. Monday when he apparently noticed the ongoing entrapment operation and tried to shoot the poseur but missed.

Libunao said that back-up operatives returned fire killing the suspect who yielded 11 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, an improvised shotgun or ‘sumpak’ with one fired shell, the marked money he received from the agent and a motorcycle.
