ELEVEN more most wanted persons in Cagayan Valley were hauled to jail by agents of the Police Regional Office 2 in a series of manhunt operations yesterday, PRO2 director, Brigadier General Jose Mario M. Espino said.
In a report to Philippine National Police chief, General Oscar D. Albayalde, the official said one of the 11 suspects is Christopher Dumo, a 21-year old farmer who is one of the most wanted persons in Nueva Vizcaya.
Espino said members of the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office headed by Colonel Richard Saavedra arrested Dumo in his hiding place in Barangay Almaguer North in Bambang municipality on the strength of a warrant of arrest for rape with no bail recommended by a local court.
Dumo, a resident of Bgy. Aliaga, is the third most wanted person in the province.
The official said members of the Bayombong Municipal Police Station, with the help of the Manila Police District Station 3, also arrested Ronald Zingapan, a 46-year-old businessman wanted for large-scale illegal recruitment and violation of the Social Security Act of 1997.
He said the suspect was caught inside PSTC Building in Arlegui Street in Quiapo, Manila.
The other suspects arrested were the subject of warrants of arest for qualified theft, estafa, robbery, child abuse, grave threat, illegal gambling and violation of the forestry law.
Espino identified the suspects as Sammy Castillo, Abraham Elejer, Bengamin Palteng, Joel Galabay, Adrian Bagasin, Nelso Andres, Giovani Velarde, Mike del Rosario and John Benedict Tolentino.
Espino said that the wanted suspects are now being held in local police lock-up facilities pending their presentation to court.
