TWO separate anti-crime raids in Cagayan province yesterday led in the arrest of two known law offenders and the confiscation of drugs, firearms and a grenade, Police Regional Office 2 director, Brigadier General Jose Mario M. Espino said.
Arrested during the twin operations were Edward Arimatea, a laborer from Aparri and Lhen Gonong, a barangay ‘kagawad’ in Iguig municipality.

The raid at the residence of Gonong in Bgy. San Lorenzo in Iguig resulted in the confiscation of a caliber .38 revolver, several live ammunition and a grenade.
Espino said that the raid at the house of Gonong was conducted on the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Salvador Campos of the Amulung-Iguig Municipal Circuit Trial Court.
