Cavite cops arrest 90

CAVITE policemen on Tuesday apprehended 90 men, 12 of them involved in illegal drug activities and the rest wanted for various felonies and violation of the General Community Quarantine, a report to Police Regional Office director, Brigadier General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said.

Cavite Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Marlon R. Santos said that recovered from the 12 arrested drug offenders were 24 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu, dried marijuana leaves, various drug paraphernalia and the marked money paid to them by undercover officers.

Santos said that of the wanted persons arrested, seven are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, child abus, robbery, theft and serious physical injuries.

The official said that the day also saw a total of 66 GCQ violators being hauled to police stations for violation of curfew hours and social distancing rules and wearing no face masks or without any quarantine pass in public.
