Cavite cops bag P4M MJ

A STRING of anti-criminality operations in Cavite province over the weekend resulted in the arrest of 16 suspected suspects and the confiscation of over P4 million worth of shabu and marijuana, a report to Police Regional Office 4-A director, Brigadier General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said yesterday.

Cavite Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Marlon R. Santos said that three of the suspects were arrested in separate anti-narcotics operations which led in the recovery of some 35 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and less than a gram of shabu with a combined market value of P4.080 million.

Santos said that the dried marijuana bricks were discovered inside a vacant land owned by a commercial bank along Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay Lalaan 1st in Silang municipality at5 p.m. Saturday.

The other suspects were arrested on charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, homicide, physical injuries, attempted homicide, trespassing and carnapping, he added.
