Cebu drug dealer yields .6 M shabu

A 22-YEAR old suspected big-time drug trafficker in Cebu City was arrested by the local police in a buy-bust operation which yielded nearly P600,000 worth of shabu last Wednesday, a belated Police Regional Office 7 report said yesterday.

Kent Oliver Lawas Ygot, a resident of Sitio Lower Yati in Barangay Quiot, Cebu City, yielded a total of 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing the drugs, a marked P1,000 bill paid to him by a poseur, a digital weighing scale and a P1,000 bill believed to be part of his initial drug proceeds.

According to PRO7 director, Chief Superintendent Debold M. Sinas, the suspect was arrested by members of the Cebu City Police Station 10 led by Chief Inspector Keith Allen Andaya 8:20 p.m. last Wednesday.

Initially recovered from the suspect were the drugs he sold to the undercover agent as well as the marked bill he received. When frisked, the suspect yielded another 9 plastic sachets containing the shabu and another P1,000 bill.
