CL’s most wanted captured

ONE of Central Luzon’s most wanted persons was arrested by the Zambales police in a manhunt operation in Pasay City on Wednesday, Zambales Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Romano V. Cardiño said yesterday.

Cardiño said that Joel Arbizo, a 35-year-old convicted drug offender was tracked down along Diokno Boulevard in Bgy. 76, Zone 10, Pasay City by members of the Zambales PPO with the assistance of the Pasay City police.

The suspect is the subject of a warrant of arrest for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 issued by Judge Marifi Chua of the Iba, Zambales Regional Trial Court Branch 70 last October 21.

Cardiño said the suspect is the 4th most wanted person in Zambales and the 3rd most wanted in Sta. Cruz municipality.

The suspect was the latest to be neutralized by the local police in line with its stepped-up operation to account for all persons with warrants of arrest and other ‘high-value targets’ in the province as ordered by Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Valeriano T. de Leon.

Last Tuesday, a ‘high-value individual’ in Zambales was killed in a gunbattle with undercover officers in San Narciso municipality who tried to arrest him after he sold shabu to an undercover officer.

Suspect Russel Tuceno alias ‘Nonong,’ the 8th most wanted drug personality in Zambales drew a concealed pistol while about to be arrested in Purok 4, Barangay Simminublan in San Narciso municipality 3:30 a.m. yesterday and fired shots at the agent but missed, said the official.

Cardiño sad that operatives from the Zambales PPO’s Provincial Intelligence Branch led by Lieutenant Col. Generico Binan and the San Narciso Municipal Police Station returned fire killing the suspect.
