Collector of lending firm shot dead by RIT in Gapan

GAPAN CITY — A man working as a collector of a local micro lending firm was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding assassins here on Thursday morning.

Police identified the slain victim as Erwin San Pedro, 32, collector of Brotherhood Micro-finance, of Sitio Pinagpala, Bgy. San Nicolas, this city.

Police said two men on board a black motorcycle initially parked their vehicle near the victim’s house and waited until their target came out at 9 a.m., said city police head Lt. Col. Criselda De Guzman.

De Guzman added the victim was about to leave the house for work aboard his Yamaha MIO motorcycle when he was peppered with bullets by one of the two suspects.

The police official said the two suspects fled towards west San Isidro after the attack.

Witnesses described the driver as clad in black jacket and maong pants. The backrider wore red tshirt blue shorts, cap and red face mask.
