Cops kill 11 drug suspects in Laguna, Cavite clashes

CAMP Brig. Gen. Vicente Lim, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna -- At least 11 persons died during the bloodiest anti-illegal drug operations and other criminalities in Cavite and Laguna on Sunday.

Suspect ‘Bimar’, of Bgy. San Francisco, General Trias City, Cavite who was armed with cal. .45 pistol quickly reacted after handing a sachet of shabu to police undercover agent at 1 p.m. in the said place. He was shot and rushed to GenTri Medicare Hospital where he died later.

Recovered were a cal. .45 Colt without serial number, 20 small sachets of shabu and the marked P500 buy-bust money.

Naic town cops also conducted a buy- bust operation in Bgy. Muzon at 9:30 p.m. but three suspects, one of whom was identified only Jay Loyola, fought off policemen who had surrounded them. A two-minute firefight led to their death. Police recovered a pistol and revolvers and drugs from the slain suspects.

The Kawit PNP, in a buy-bust operation at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Bgys. Tabon 1 and Gahak shot dead Rodelito Pelayo and Art Jule Sarinas. A certain Joey Komang was able to escape.

In Silang town, police chanced upon two armed unidentified members of the ‘Basag-Kotse Gang’ in the area and neighboring places.

The suspects drew their firearms at 3:25 a.m. while on board a motorcycle. However, the back rider was shot and fell from the vehicle while the driver was able to escape.

Meanwhile in Biñan City, Laguna, two motorcycle thieves were chased by policemen after stealing a Suzuki motorcycle at 2:43 a.m. in Bgy. San Antonio.

The suspects were cornered at 6:15 a.m. Saturday in Bgy. San Antonio when the suspects fought off the cops. One of them was shot dead while the other escaped.

A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) from Police Regional Office 4A processed the crime scene and recovered one caliber .38 revolver loaded with five live ammunition, one fire cartridge case, five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the Suzuki motorcycle 2016 model owned by the victim.

The body of the sl;ain suspect now lies at John Paul Funeral Homes for autopsy.

An ongoing follow-up operation and investigation is being conducted for the possible arrest and identification of the cohorts of the suspect.

In San Pablo City, three persons were killed and four others were arrested after the policemen conducted a search warrant operation in Bgy. San Ignacio.

The slain suspects, identified as Christopher Alain Alvero, and two others who were all armed with cal. .45 pistols, were killed. Those arrested were Joy Alvero, Enrico Eric Suasi, Anthony Castillo and Abby Gaa Gomez, all of the said place.

Police said they conducted search warrants for drugs and illegal possessions of firearms at 8:30 a.m. when the suspects refused to yield and instead fired at the arresting officers who retaliated.
